APEX DIRECTOR - There is a traitor in your midst...

Retronicus

And so the investigation began. I am so looking forward to solving the mystery. And hot, messy scenes too, of course. As for this week's comment, I actually have sth in mind. Back at the Mr Bellows' file it was mentioned that his chip stopped responding after certain point. I kinda want to know just how fragile those are (losing them would spell trouble), what are their known properties in the society ( i mean com'n, sth that spelled like MAD ), are there any known occasions then chip's work was compromised under strange circumstances. So boiling down my question, i ask Agent Allister ( or/and Director) next: "Agent Carver, as you know, surely rereading Mr Bellows' file, his chip ceased to function and now inoperative. Have you considered that the work of the chip could have been compromised, most likely due to the unusual forces at play. Maybe, you heard of situation, where chip would work erratically or even shutdown?" P. C. Those numbers could easily be any sort of mcguffin: radio frequency, part of tel.number, post index or password for any secret that Mr Bellows left in the car.

Really having fun with the story - we're getting to some fun pretty early, but who didn't see that coming? Can't wait to see where this all goes. Agent Allister: Continue communing with what agent Bellows did in the room. See if he was the one who put the symbols there. Ponder on their significance, with some numbers being upside down and others not. Agent Frank: Continue getting into Ms. Oswald's good graces. Make him infatuated if not loyal. If he's not part of the conspiracy, he'll be a very strong asset to our cause. As he said, it is a small town.

Taikowolf

Frank: Rock Mr. Oswald's world so hard that he can't think straight afterwards and will tell you anything you want to know. Get him drunk too. Find out whether he's a top or bottom and make sure one of you gets fucked thoroughly. A: Go to the diner and see if you can find any leads. Eat a huge lunch to endear yourself to the chefs and wait staff. Smooth talk them while you eat.

Ryn Fox

I second an extremely hearty lunch. Can't solve mysteries without plenty of energy.

This story is so good already, so much intrigue and mystery. Agent A - Grab a pen a try to reach the back of the vent with your arm. It looks a little narrow, and to be frank neither you or Bellows Sr. look exactly... slender enough to fit inside. Otis probably had contacts in Dusk Acres, and perhaps, you need to consider Mr. Allister, lovers. Its a possibility maybe Otis didn't write this message, maybe it was a message left for him.

Austin Wonderer

Oh wow my prompt was used <3 <3 <3 Agent Frank : You HAVE to get inside Mr. Hopper's vehicle somehow, there could be critical evidence left behind. Make sure this Oswald is too exhausted to interfere with your investigation.

RexFurry

Damn, getting right into business? Well, ain't gonna complain, love me a good pig and beaver, that expression was suuuuper nice. Agent Allister: The connection that most of the victims frequent or have family in the town suggests possible large scale cultist activity. Keep this in mind and try not to attract attention from too many of the locals, as Frank is acting as our socialite. Try not to end up as a "Wicker man"

Newt

Well aren’t these my deepest fantasies ever. Gosh BC. you certainly know how to do it!!

Poringstar

To Agent bellows: Perhaps some lube would be good for the upcoming "handy work" To Agent Allister: Examine the numbers properly it may be a clue. If this note was left by our missing agent his apprentice wouldn't have much issue cracking the code.

TiredFins

Two for Allister to consider: The rotation of the "5 1 1" characters implies they were written from a different perspective. Obviously you cannot fit in the vent, but use of a mirror or more sophisticated technology may indicate if something waits beyond the turn. As well, any probable connections to an "Oswald" in the missing person files? He's a local beaver, purveyor of the bar, mid 40's. Odds are low, but Frank is currently making contact with him.

Oneiros

Ooh I reallly want to know more about that cheetah and the artist he had a connection with.

Shiny Skunk

thanks hinner! it was indeed missing a panel! i fixed it!

Blazingcheeks

Agent frank: You made the first step. Oswald was attracted to you. Then you need to have closer physical contact with Oswald to make him like you more.During this period, you can collect more information about his body odor and gain his trust. Finally, you should be able to get important surveillance video information.I'm sure Oswald will also be one of your important assistants in Dusk Acres.

Off: It kinda looks like there are some missing panels between the third and second to last panels? It seems to escalate very quickly...

Hinner

<b>Agent Allister</b> : After you are finished in your business in the Motel Room, head to Bolt's Dynamic Diner, it is likely many of the victims would have visited this location in the past, including Otis. Order a huge lunch and a generous dessert, its important you eat it all, and try to endear yourself to the chef and waitstaff, ask them if they've heard any rumors, or saw Otis or Hopper before they disappeared.

Crowbar

Agent Allister: The way the numbers are written it appears to be a lock combination; 11 Down, 5 Down, 13 Up. Agent Frank: After being a gentleman and tiring out Ozzy to full satisfaction, discreetly gather videos dating back to June 5th-12th, 2019 from the Bar's SECURITY FOOTAGE. While you're at it bring back a bottle of that home-brewed LAGER for Allister as a peace offering/possible evidence to examine. I implore you Agent to drive responsibly.

Fe5ter

Allister: Gather any information you can on disappearances that happened on the thirteenth of the month with special attention paid to case number S3224-511. Otis may have found a connection.

Hon3ybazzer

Whoof, dang I misread, that's a good spot.

Crowbar

Allister: See if there are any messages left on the answering machine or any evidence in the room that have any relation to the numbers.

Hon3ybazzer

Alister: After thoroughly inspecting the rooms it might be a good idea to get in contact with one of the missing persons, loved one's for more clues. The bovine had a boyfriend, might be a good place to start. Try and get any info you need to track down this person of interest out of the man at the front desk.

Muku

(Always appreciate a warehouse 13 reference :) )

MdHatter

Hmmm, very interesting update, and it's super cool to see all the other kidnap victims. Also wow, a Wombat &lt;3 I half wonder if it would be valuable to ask Apex to do some sort of scan for older unsolved missing person cases with any hint of a relation to Dusk Falls, considering they only noticed a connection of several spree kidnappings... but... that might be overthinking the plot haha ALSO probably valuable to find out the circumstances of the 'deaths' of the relatives of some of the missing victims. Especially the alligator's son and the brothers, maybe possible other past victims?...

Crowbar

((that fudge thing is a reference to warehouse 13 where memory modification objects caused that smell. Whether it's the same here or not had yet to be seen.))

Crimson Claw

Agent [Allister]: Before you leave, while your olfactory abilities aren't on par with your Partner's; make sure to take a heavy sniff of the bed. Take in its essence. And, in particular, check for the scent of baked goods, particularly fudge. The presence of which could indicate a super natural phenomenon we are not at liberty to declassify to you right now.

Crimson Claw

Noticed it too when re-reading the pages for clues.

Fe5ter

Allister: Take not that the numbers appear to not only written upside down but reversed. Consult your experiences. Would there be any reason this would be the case? Perhaps being written by a n entity on 'the other side'? Frank: Why not bring some of that larger with you? Soak it all over that body and lap it up. Beaver meat might taste good with some of his award winning drink.

Nex Canis

Frank: good work agent, but continue with caution. This “nervous Dilf” persona could just be a facade to lower your guard. Make sure he enters the back room first, and be aware of any possible exits. Be ready to hoof it at a moments notice, even if you gotta run in your birthday suit. In the mean time, you have the opportunity to get as up close and personal as needed to gather data on this Ozzy’s odor. Be sure to huff every nuke and crevice of his body, emphasis on crevice. Allister: Record the numbers you see, they may be important later. Try to examine it further, using your link with Bellows to see if he was the one to leave it behind, and don’t be afraid should things get a bit.... intense. And if he’s not the culprit, try to sense for any other presences that may have lingered behind.

MdHatter

Allister: Do you know what those. Numbers could signify? What about that symbol? Do you have any notes to identify it? Frank: Give Ozzy a good Romantic time. You're allowed to get close and intimate as you so please. But it could help in getting more info if he likes you deeply. So give him a good time he won't forget. P.S: It looks like some pages are missing near the end. We didn't even see Frank flirt with Oswald.

Kageichi

Allister- Record the number and save it and decipher later. It could be a hidden message from the missing agent. Is there any other spot in the room that hasn’t been examined yet? Frank: Take up the beaver’s offer. Have him hold his cheeks apart and take a deep whiff. Go to town on his pucker.

GuacoHexxRhey

Frank: ozzy keeps calling him son, see how calling him Daddy might play~. Allister: delve deeper into one of the files, maybe the owl?

CherryDad

I think we’re missing a panel? The beaver is talking about the car and police tape and then suddenly he’s blushing and answering a question we didn’t hear

WorgenRouge

Allister- you should definitely record those numbers, they don't look like manufacturing marks at all, the 1 changes angle at least once. Once that is done, see if there are any other clues left around the room, any other messages being left. If that means you need to commune with Bellows more intimately well... that is the price for a successful investigation!
