fenris high devlog update 7

soo.. the game maker update i mentioned last time kind of did more damage than we thought to the point we had to transfer the whole game in a new file. It took a while, but now we have everything working again, you can expect the next update to have the introductory part pretty much done ! (i'll ask my programmer friend if we can make  the character creator

as a lil standalone preview!)

on the graphical side , i had to redo the menu elements for the game since some gameplay features got a bit more defined ,and we wanted to streamline things a bit more

so now the interact and pick up tools are merged into one , and the movement tool , wich was absolutely obsolete is now the room tool, that will give you a list of items that are on the floor in any given square. You can also see a pretty big addition, wich is the spellbook.

the main character is a descendant of witches, and his grandma left him a spellbook that he always thought was a useless bunch of fairytales ...until now. No matter what class you pick (jock, chill or nerd) you'll always have the spellbook to aid you in your quest to get rid the school from the werewolf menace. 

aside from the ui work, i also drew jeff's and dave dorm rooms

jeff is all about destroyng the system from within and promoting a lifestyle free of the capitalist stranglehold that places materialism and shallow values above all else. You can think of him as a mix of an hacker and tyler durden, but without the misoginy and way ,way more chill and friendly. Even knowing that, he's always keeping ready to strike down the man and its system, and his room kind of reflects that.

Dave's room is a hazy , warm place, full of exotic scents and new age paraphernalia. The guy spends most of his time here, vibing off some new age or raggae record , staring at the psychedelic art that lines the walls of his sancta sanctorum, as he thinks about our place in the cosmos and the depth of the human nature. Don't ask what he's growing inside his cabinet! 

I also drew jeff and dave's close up portraits. Dave is a pretty chill guy so it's hard to tick him off, but you DON'T want to see him angry. The guy has some serious bottled up anger.

anyways that's it for this update! sorry it's been a bit sparse, but hopefully this bad luck streak is finally behind us. Catch you nex time for more, pups! awooo!
