Today, I have a final drawing to share with you for "Dancing Marionettes," which we have been streaming on Twitch this month.

The wolfspider was a ton of fun to work on, but I also had a lot of fun working on the little rabbit Marionettes. They started off as merely an afterthought in the sketch but I ended up developing them out much more here, and adding many more than I first intended. They really need to stay murky, as a bit of a surprise to anyone who lingers on the image for a while, rather than something front and center. (But that kind of restraint can be really hard to master when you are having fun...)

After finishing the drawing, I scanned it in and added a tone in Photoshop to get a sense of what it might look like if we did a monochrome oil painting of it:

I am not sure I'll have time this month to actually paint it in oil, (there is a Banshee, a Scarrot, and a Lich King still to do...) but this would be fun to tackle down the road!

Next, I have another image from the Ents & Orcs series. It was part of a pitch that never made it, but I still really enjoyed working on the images for it, and so I'll be periodically sharing some of them as I slowly tinker away on for a hopeful "someday" project.
Lastly today, I have a FANSTRATICS sketch to share with you:

The Banshee! I plan to do the drawing for this one after we return from Illuxcon later this month. Speaking of which, the 2 finished drawings above will be available there for anyone who is interested. Hopefully I will see some of you there!
