THE PROMPT:
"The Feline Fire Drake"
Very little is written of these mythical creatures in the historical texts. Yet, while the written records are largely silent, there are however, many curious visual depictions appearing amidst the pages of illuminated manuscripts. From these illustrations we are left with more questions than answers about these mysterious winged, and fire-breathing cats. In the surviving depictions, it is unclear wether they were regarded as a beloved household pet, or a terrifying menace, the cause of much grief to mankind. They are sometime depicted as large and fierce, fighting armed men and burning down houses, while other times they are shown as quite small and lazy, lounging in the sun on a porch, or batting at a mouse. At other times they are shown as spooked, for no apparent reason, as if they had just seen a ghost. While much mystery yet remains about them, it is clear that they lived with and among humans, even if they were a complete menace.
Your job today, is to create your own take on the mythical feline fire drake, to help set the record straight on what these creatures actually looked like!
