Large Scale Images of 2021 - Batch 2

Here's a fun lot :3

Starting off with the image I've probably been proudest of vs. a long time before and after, the birthday picture Hearts Aflame, which Kalahari had me draw for his mate Aleutia. Beautiful and immensely fun piece, with a lot of motion and dynamic in all those depicted - except that couple sitting infront of the fire, I guess X3 It's a bit of a benchmark piece against which I gauge most of my work when trying to decide whether it's finished enough. It probably shows that I enjoyed working on this particular one far too much and if a paint is approaching that quality, I tend to accept it as satisfactory.

Next up, Trouble Afoot, probably my first foray into the wide and varied world of the paw fetish, alongside the already addressed macros. One of the few pieces with lines that I've been happy with, before and since. I can't for the life of me figure out what I've been doing differently since, but this piece feels whole and complete, while I continue to find something amiss in more recent lined images. Ah well :/ - the variations are A/B with and without blurred background, and C/D the same, but with seethrough/whiteish claws.

Smoke And Mirrors was another commission for Sandow of his spirit/fey fox Fenwick, having a smug lounge and chat on a stone wall. I'm not sure how much of his lore has made it public, so I'll leave explaining the character to Sand's, but he is a fun one to draw in any case. Variations are the original upload, one version with slightly desaturated background, and one version with Fenwick containing someone who got on the wrong side of him shortly before.

ForestUnknown's Battlegrounds is a rather uninspired title for a piece that was meant to (and maybe still is going to) become a series of Kira having a fight with some non-descript evil creature. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the results at the time, probably because the values aren't working entirely as they're supposed to and it's a little hard to tell what the focus of the image is supposed to be as a result. I woldn't know how to fix that without reworking the entire image though - maybe a simple tweak of the background brightness could do the trick .

I've decided I'm going to start including the non-PSD file and non-commission images in these too, instead of making them separate uploads, as I had originally intended, to get through the backlog a little faster.

The first five images are each portraits of my friends Chiral and Caccia's characters. Most of you will remember them as "results of a doodle sessions", which they are. I'm especially happy with the one I had titled U WOT M8?! at the time, though Encounters was also an interesting attempt at trail cam footage X3

Lastly, not the birth of, but one of the beginning images trying to sate my need for bunny butt and the predatory nature of said need >:3
