Added 2025-04-09 21:14:01 +0000 UTCI’ve been moving into a new place, which has been sort of interrupting everything else but is otherwise really good for my personal wellbeing. And now I’m finally able to share this Juno scene!
There’s a mood I tried chasing here, where you’ve had a chance to kind of lose your grasp on the passage of time and it only catches up to you when the sun hangs little too close to the treetops. Like an endless day somehow fading into night, both cool and warm simultaneously. And for some reason it seems like things are still just getting started. Probably all the soundchecks. Juno’s waiting there at the edge of the clearing and the only thing she’s put on all day are those paint strokes.
“Ready when you are…”
I’ve also thrown in some exploratory sketches where Juno’s spinning fire (or at least pretending she is). These kinds of naturist festivals are a great opportunity to showcase the flow arts.

2025-04-23 01:06:59 +0000 UTCThanks! I'll use reference pics from time to time but I've mostly moved away from them. I'm more happy with the results when I just invent a figure by playing around with sketching. Studying references was super helpful when I was getting used to human anatomy though.

I like the detail of the wrist band, and her messing around with it a little as she waits. (And, pube tug?) The turquoise paint contrasts really well with her orange fur, and love the greens of the background. Any opossum around? 🤔😄
