REINCARNA✝ION!! Idol Graduation! with Moon Jelly

Patreon prompts me to tell a story, but i think the song itself is story enough.

I could explain the thought behind it all, but it would ruin the magic.

The chord progressions which repeat themselves, the instrumental shifts for few bars at a time, the nature of the given elements in each part. The lyrics tell a story, sure, but the instrumentation serves to reinforce it every step of the way.

To be honest, the week or so I spent working on this with Jelly I was writing out of my mind, and just a little less than a week later I no longer believe I could replicate half of it if I tried. Easily my most inspired work to date, and perhaps ever will be, though I hope that won't be the case.

People are only now figuring out that the intro sequence of the crash, the beeps, and the birds chirping was sequencing the death of the character. But why does the chord progression of the chorus where the character decides to try to become an idol again after reincarnation feel so familiar even though it's unlike anything you've heard after the intro? And why doesn't it feel out of place when she laments being unable to sing or dance like she used to afterwards? Did her voice break into falsetto right as the lyrics nodded towards something as such??? Are there any other easter eggs in writing? Maybe, but I would rather you find them yourself.

I still eagerly read the comments every hour in hopes of someone connecting one dot to another here or there, and I really hope that one day my full intent will be get parsed!!!

I genuinely think that this, for me, is one of those artist defining songs. I really want people to think of THIS when they hear my name. I've never been happier with a work, nor have I ever been more pleased with the execution of a concept in my head. We entered Cosmic Radio 2024, and on the last few days some of the entries from some incredibly huge names absolutely shook the game right up and all the way over, but regardless of how much success this song'll find there, I truly think it's one of a kind.

I of course owe immense thank yous to Jelly too. Working with her was a treat, and though it wasn't our first time making a song for a rhythm game contest WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE it's our first original release together! And we both hope it's one of many more to come, so please support her as you would me as well. I am going to be inhumanely busy next month, and halfway to the one after, but we'll see again after that, I promise (yeah! I promise!)

Toodles!!

I love the part where she gets shingo'd and just starts singing while dying
