Star Trek: "Where No Con Has Gone Before"

Not the best, but I was in a Star Trek mood when I made this and I really, really like that fem-Spock.

TEXT

A routine away mission had gone terribly awry for the crew of the USS Enterprise. They’d discovered a strange anomaly in space-time on the farthest edge of the Romulan Neutral Zone, and like any good exploration vessel, had gotten closer and closer to analyze the fluctuations in the fabric of reality. Only they’d gotten too close and before Kirk could give the order, the entire Enterprise had been sucked into the breach! Now the beloved ship was little more than a large model hanging overhead in some large gathering area of a new civilization…And Kirk had found himself in the body of a petite redhead Human woman! Spock, his trusted companion and friend, was nearby, the Vulcan having similarly been transformed, his alien physiology having been converted into that of a Human female, his tell-tale ears now being nothing more than molded plastic around small, feminine ears. The rest of the Enterprise crew were yet to be found, though it was clear that they too had been changed. After finding a more secure space, both Kirk and Spock gazed down at their new bodies in surprise and shock.

For Kirk, the feeling of breasts and hips was not as alien as he once might have considered it. After all he had become a female once before through an advanced device that had swapped his consciousness with that of the desperate Janice Lester. But it would never not be jarring for a man to feel breasts being cradled by and pushing through the soft fabric of his new clothing, or the chill breeze around his exposed legs or the gap between his hips were his penis had once been. His hair, once short and blond was now much longer and styled against his head, ending in a tight, small bun at the back of his skull!

Spock, ever taciturn, had still appeared shaken at his much shorter new form and the equally modest breasts pushing through his flowing uniform. His body was roughly the same size as Kirk’s, though his hairstyle was still clearly Vulcan. Wide, dark eyes had replaced Spock’s more analytical stare, and his skin had turned quite pale as his hips and legs flared out larger than Kirk’s.

Both men, now women, found their uniforms equally changed as Kirk and Spock now found themselves in scants, the typical uniform assigned to female members of Starfleet! And their equipment, Kirk’s communicator and phaser where now just decorative pieces of plastic along with Spock’s tricorder! And Kirk now had a large, leather purse hanging off his arm that was filled with all manner of cosmetics and green paper with imagery and numbers printed on it that he didn’t recognize! There WAS some form of alien technology within the satchel, a small rectangular device that showed the date and time of whatever local reality they were now in…But he couldn’t get past that screen as it required some form of passcode that he didn’t know! Spock had similar belongings, though they were stored in a colorful bag. The feminized Vulcan was rummaging through his pack as well, pulling out the small, glossy device and tinkering with it, much like Kirk was with his (though with more success, which annoyed the captain).

“Spock, where the devil are we!? Where’s the crew !? Why are we women, and why are you Human?” Kirk tried his best to keep his temper under control, not wanting to draw the attention of the very, very large crowd of people around them, most of them in some form of costume.

The Vulcan raised a immaculately trimmed eyebrow, “Judging by the assorted banners, booths, and imagery, it appears that we are in some form of gathering, captain. It seems commercially focused, as we both appear to have a large amount of currency within our satchels. We also appear to be guests here, as evidenced by these wristbands” Spock held up one of his delicate looking arms to show a pale blue rubber band tied loosely to him that read ‘Whitewood Comic-Con’. As for the crew, it is only logical to presume that they, much like ourselves, have been similarly altered to appear as attendees of this event”

“What in the world is a ‘Comic-Con’? And that still doesn’t answer why we’re woman, or why my ship is a enormous balloon hanging from the ceiling!” The woman Kick had become hissed in his new voice, pointing a small finger up to the inflated Enterprise that bobbed in the air currents from numerous vents. There were other ships, icons and creatures up there as well, but he didn’t recognize any of them.

“With pre-Warp and pre-Eugenics Wars Earth, there were many communities that enjoyed related topics that would come together to share in mutual love of those interests. Eventually, as was typical of early Human civilization, these were quickly turned into commercial destinations by larger corporate entities. That, captain, explains as to why we have so much physical currency in our respective personal containers” Spock’s new eyes narrowed in concentration for a moment, as it something was distracting him as he focused on the small device’s screen before suddenly shaking his head, his new hair flashing back and forth, “My apologies, Jim. As to why our bodies and equipment have changed, clearly the anomaly that we were pulled into has had some effect on our genetic and cellular identities” The former alien male turned human girl turned the device in his small hands around to show Kirk a variety of images of the two of them.

“So it’s a archival device? Hmm, is that what I look like now?” Kirk stared at Spock’s device, peering at the redheaded girl that was dressed in lingerie and posing on a bed for what was obviously a camera. Behind his new body was a small room that was plastered with imagery of…Starfleet? But it looked wrong!

“Indeed, captain. And I…” Spock pulled the small rectangle away for a moment, touched it several times, and returned it to Kirk’s vision, “Appear to be your roommate, though it is clear that I am the more conservative of us” Spock’s new form was dressed in a set of loungewear pants with a heavy, puffy top. Large glasses covered her eyes as she stared at the camera, a book splayed out on the desk in front of her.

“Just what in the blazes kind of anomaly was that? To change us so thoroughly, to build all of this…”

“There is more, captain. We appear to have entirely new names as well. I am Samantha Octavia Kearnes, and you are Jamie Tabitha Kirkland. It appears that, wherever, and possibly WHOever we are, we are roommates attending the nearby academic organization, a ‘Whitewood University’ and are here as something called ‘cosplayers’, individuals who dress up as famous characters in fiction for fun or who craft high quality costumes in order to make money from posing for pictures”

Kirk simply stared at the pretty Vulcan, blinking dumbly as he felt a fog come over his brain. Ugh, why did Sama-Spock always have to upstage him and make him feel dumb!? Of COURSE she knew what cosplay was! The little nerd had practically begged her to come here and…Kirk shook his head vigorously, removing the alien thoughts from his brain.

“Spock, I think we have another problem…I think that our minds are starting to adapt to this place!” Kirk’s eyes went wide with panic as he suddenly realized that his new body felt…normal.

“Unfortunately you are correct, Jami-I mean Jim. I had hoped that the reconditioning that I feel myself undergoing was a result of becoming human and female. But as it is affecting you as well, then the situation is indeed dire” Spock said with a grim nod as an older woman with several bags of various items stopped in front of them.

“Oh, I LOVE your cosplay! Can I get a photo?” The older lady asked, setting her bags down and pulling out a rectangular device of her own, something that Spock and Kirk instantly recognized, somehow, as a cellphone. The two displaced Starfleet officers shared a look and then posed, waiting for the woman to take their pictures. It felt VERY wrong yet VERY right to the two former men, with a large part of both their minds telling them that this was part of the entire reason they had come, yet both knowing the truth.

After the woman had left, Kirk put the useless communicator back in his purse and shook off the feeling to check her…his phone to see if anyone else had ‘tagged them’ (whatever that meant) on something called ‘social media’. He looked over the sea of cosplayers, convention attendees, and up at the inflated Enterprise.

“We’ve got to find the rest of the crew and get out of here before we forget who we are, Sam-I mean, Spock!”

“I concur, Jamie. I concur” Was all the former Vulcan said in reply before the two of them wandered into the crowd.
