Interea and Arches Release Dates

Putting pandemic in air quotes was all I needed to read to know your takes are worthless. I genuinely don't care about "missing" a month, given that the previous month had 3 major updates for that content stream. Also, unironically calling other people fools? What century spat you out?

As far as I’m concerned if you give money to this game you are entitled to something. All I’m saying is if you keep giving them excuses then you are influencing very bad habits. Sooner or later even those fools such as yourself will grow tired of the lack of information and updates. And don’t blame this “pandemic” on laziness. That’s all I care to say on this matter. And again don’t take advantage of your Patreons. Give proper timely updates like everyone else.

I've only been following Echo for a few months now, but this feels like a pretty entitled response during an ongoing pandemic. The membership details say nothing about Adastra's frequency, and while they do promise a monthly Echo update: stuff happens. Additionally, April saw the releases of Echo 1.0, The Smoke Room 15, and Arches 1. If all of that counts as Echo-verse content, then that makes up for the lack of a main update in May imo.

I get things can be tough and deadlines sometimes are missed but if we just keep giving them a free pass just because we love their work sets them up for very bad habits. If you promise something you keep it, especially when money is involved, and if you’re unable to then you best have a valid reason for not following through. Don’t take advantage of your Patreon‘s. It won’t end well for your team.

I also received the notification from Patreon that my account was charged, so I checked here to see what's up and was also a bit disappointed to see there's another missed release date. Covid and other stuff gets in the way, it's understandable and I hope everyone is ok. I am still happy to treat this as donations for the team to create cool stuff, but I don't think it's unreasonable to say that it would be nice to see more transparency and better communication from the team. And if the team are struggling with self-imposed monthly release dates, maybe it would be better for them to change expectations altogether. I'm sure many Patrons would be fine with paying monthly with clear expectations that they might not get the build this month. It just feels like the deadlines are stressing out members of the team, and are also frustrating Patrons, so might be time for a change to how the Patreon works.

this happens with almost every echo project release don't worry. Arches was the last game that was this late but I've just gotten use to ignoring the "release dates" since they're never accurate. I'd recommend doing the same.

I've been supporting them since last summer and I love their work, but they've not been consistent in the content provided at all. Geez relax, im certain they wouldn't intentionally hold out on us so it's obvious that something unforseen has delayed the release a bit. Cut them some slack. Coding and app development is not an easy or quick process. There are many variables involved.
