Progress Report
Added 2023-04-26 08:20:52 +0000 UTCI am mostly working on Who Wanna Be a Bimbo 0.9. I am a bit behind schedule, the main issue is that I am trying to make the code modular and very easy to mod and I am constantly getting stuck with minor things. But I hope this is the last time I am reworking Who Wanna Be a Bimbo from scratch and I want to do it right. Eventually, I would love to finish Who Wanna Be a Bimbo this year to version 1.0 and move to other projects but leave the game in such a state other people may fork it and do with the game whatever they want to.
I guess there will be more polls and progress reports and new rewards and other desperate attempts to boost engagement and improve my Patreon. You are all amazing and I am extremely grateful for all your support! However, I am kinda spending an awful amount of time on making my games and I am recently kinda very badly hit by high inflation and rising prices and even exchange rates. I am extremely anxious about selling my games, I absolutely do not want anybody to regret backing me or feeling they did not get enough in return for their money. But (sounding arrogant:) I have seen way worse games making way more money. So it seems there are things I could be doing in a better way.
I am writing new events for Fake AI without messing with the gameplay in a major way. It generally goes well but it is a bit annoying I have to write every event two or three times to reflect different Kate's stats and previous choices. And so far I did not exactly figure out Eva's conundrum - I would like her to have her revenge if Kate was treating her badly but it clashes a bit with the Saša's storylines. And then there is the porn conundrum: it would be great if Kate could shoot naughty videos distributed by the nerds. However, in most of the cases, it would be out of character for Kate to agree with that. Moreover, her classmates finding about her new "career" should have a major game-changing impact but it would be very complicated to capture that.

Kate making porn videos would be a logical continuation of her corruption path. Making her do some public nudity should also be possible if she has high corruption... or doing some lewd actions in public for example at the cinema.

What her classmates think of her will have to do with the world the game is set in. If they are horny, she will be more popular. But if they are less horny and more prudish, her popularity would drop in a sense. With a popularity drop, Kate's run for class president would be harder, even to a point of completing more favors at the cost of her reputation. But the question would be, how far can she fall? I mean at this point, the nerds already changed her lifestyle already. Would they force this lifestyle to be her norm? btw, loved the custom shop. would like to see it expand into other clothing items as well when you are ready for release.

2023-04-27 11:11:26 +0000 UTCI strongly agree. That's the reason why most of the devs delay releases and give them to the different tiers. For example the highest paying tier gets access to dev version, lower tier gets the early access a week before, etc.

There's always a part of luck involved, of being at the right place at the right time or finding the right kind of audience. That being said, yes, your games do have something that quite a few others don't. My personal experience with Patreon is: Give people a reason to pay. Meaning: give them more if they pay more. It's "cruel", but it always works (provided there is quality to begin with).
