New Studio!

After moving out of my rented warehouse in September, I haven't really had a workspace. I crammed way too many tools into my garage and then jammed the rest of my tools and small parts into shipping containers. I thought it might be OK, but it has been a very inefficient setup for getting projects done.

The shipping containers turned out to be the Achilles heel of the setup. I now see them as a good approximation for a black hole. They are tight and extremely difficult to search. This means that stuff goes in, but it never comes out.

But speaking of space, I am really excited to finally HAVE SPACE!

I've decided to rent a different warehouse to act as a sort of shop/studio for making videos. It's very similar to the last space that I was renting except for:

A) the warehouse has AC which will keep me from boiling and being really sweaty on camera and
B) It has a nice little office area that will allow me to hire help with the videos.

I've resisted the idea of hiring, but after tracking how much time I spend doing stuff that someone could easily help me do, I've had a change of heart. At the moment I'm looking for help with logistics, operations, and testing. Stuff like ordering & returning materials, responding to email, and helping when I have to test something for 10 hours straight. I still plan to continue to do 100% of the engineering and video production, though this idea really excites me as I think it will allow me to go almost twice as fast!

Things have been pretty hectic the past 6 months. Between the moving, shoplessness and lots of other stuff going on with life I've not been able to complete projects as fast as usual. I hope this new space will mark a return to normalcy!

I'll share more as I start packing it full of stuff. Especially in the discord. Thank you so much for the support!

Shipping Containers are just slightly stronger Pods

Very soon! I'm editing the video now and hope to post in a week or so. Beyond that, everything is up and running so I should be back to a typical project cadence now.

when do you think you will have new content?

I can't imagine the effort going into this. I dread the thought of moving let alone a few times in such a short span.

Wow you do so much
