New Terminal Quickies Comic Teaser

Yes, the timing of my previous post is probably making a bit more sense now. ;)

The next Terminal Quickies comic by artist AnonKB will star Millie Allbrook - Mayor Fresendo’s Personal Assistant/Secretary, and will be set in Hardwood City.

It will be in full color and probably run for around 8 pages(There's a script, but we like to keep things flexible in case we come up with better ideas or realize that something needs more or less pages than first thought to work right).

Featured above is a design test AnonKB did to figure out the colors & look of the outfit that she will wear(briefly ;P) in the comic.

The plan is to post 1 page per month - starting with the cover page. We've created a bit of a work buffer already to hopefully avoid delays to the schedule. But things are looking good so far, and if everything continues to run ahead like it currently is, then it is possible that pages may be released more frequently.

All this in addition to one-page-per-month of Lara's ongoing story: "A Case of Conception" - which should also now be delay-free for the foreseeable future for similar reasons.

Why Millie of all characters? Well, as mentioned in the past, it's important for me to allow the artists involved to have some say over which characters they'd like to work with. Considering that they are the ones who have to spend the duration of the comic's run drawing them month after month. AnonKB & I reviewed my entire roster of TD character models, and both thought that Millie would be a fun character to explore in a shorter mini-comic format, while they trialed a full-color project for the first time.

Obviously Millie is an niche choice given she is so new and comparatively unknown amongst the cast, even in the one comic she currently appears in, she is only prominently featured in a single panel so far...

However, Millie is undoubtedly a character who will make many appearances alongside Mayor Fresendo - who is both a prominent figure in the game's 2nd ACT setting (Hardwood City) & a prominent figure in the lives of many other characters Tiffany, Terry, Juggs, Lara(via Nabe), & more.

And, as with every other Terminal Quickies installment, this mini-comic is still a canon event, taking place before the events of the game, that has some connections to the lore/future plot points.

Rest assured, I have ideas for most characters. They will get their turn... ;)
