Personal Project for April

I got some neat stuff to share with you this month! I just finished two weeks on the set of Love and Death (an HBO murder docudrama about RL axe murderer Candy Montgomery that should come out later this year) - where I was cast as the courtroom artist!
In order to get the role, I did two sample pieces of courtroom style art (I watched an ep of The People's Court and sketched the judge & plantiff) - and I'm also sharing some exclusive behind the scenes shots of a couple of the art pieces I did on set. I'm not sharing all of them yet thanks to having signed an NDA and not wanting to get in trouble with HBO, but I absolutely will do after the show airs (and since I did a LOT of art, it will definitely be another personal project slot :) )

Thank you so much! It was a neat justification to practice with a different style that still built off of pencilwork as a base :) Doing higher detail shaded pieces like that was neat!

2022-04-16 20:10:10 +0000 UTCI really like where you’re going with this. In the past when I’ve commissioned you I’ve done it with pencil - not because it was cheaper - but because I like it better. My advice: Keep pursuing this style. It’s completely unique within the TF genre as well. Especially the 4th drawing is excellent.
