Who's Yer Daddy? The Elon Problem

Okay, so a few weeks makes a big difference in the history of American Spaceflight - but not in any way that ever could have been anticipated. Let me talk a but about the conundrum for me....

It may be bad now, and get worse, but on the bright side, these sociopaths always overreach, and then have to pay. The karma that Musk and tRump are going to have to pay will kill them.

Yep. I feel it. Was a fan until I started to see all the holes in his stories. That was maybe 2018-19.

Bill Kerr

I agree wholeheartedly with you. It is reprehensible, unconstitutional, illegal and harmful in every way possible. (TS Eliot - Hollow Men, ending): Here we go round the prickly pear Prickly pear prickly pear Here we go round the prickly pear At five o'clock in the morning. Between the idea And the reality Between the motion And the act Falls the Shadow For Thine is the Kingdom Between the conception And the creation Between the emotion And the response Falls the Shadow Life is very long Between the desire And the spasm Between the potency And the existence Between the essence And the descent Falls the Shadow For Thine is the Kingdom For Thine is Life is For Thine is the This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper.

Trump supporters are starting to experience FAFO.

There is a right way to do all of this, but this is not it. From High Caliber Systems Reengineers Program, to Zero Base Budgeting Many good ways to recalibrate systems. But this method is good for new never been done R&D, but here we have legacy systems and money going help millions of people in sickness, healthcare, infrastructure, etc etc. putting AI on top of large data is still a program with parameters set by who? What is bad project spending.... We know DEI is considered bad which is nuts. Whatever they decide is the rule set. Not congress, Rule of Law or Judicial review. It does sound like a setup. The Project 2025 did review how to unfold their plans. And they are 10 years ahead the Dems in planning, Sadly.

Sales of Tesla's in Germany are down 60%, they are ashamed of Musks salute. But the fear is Judges can get involved and stop the acts but what if musks team does not stop or delete data. Courts then have to go to the US Marshall office to require arrest they fall under DOJ. So trump could tell DOJ to tell US Marshalls so Stand Down. Then Judges have little recourse. The complainant would have to appeal up to SCOTUS and we know who owns them. ARGH!

Can't really throw the baby out with the bath water here.

RUD, but blowing up a country. Blitzkrieg is very apt.

I've known that musk was a sociopath since I first heard about him 25 years ago. But I could tell you were sincere in your appreciation of space flight (even though SpaceX seem unable to run simulations, let alone a slide rule). Welcome to the dark future. Time to polish our hacking skills, nobody's coming to save us.

I used to get excited to drive 1000 miles to go watch rocket launches at KSC, but now I can’t summon the motivation to set an alarm to remind me to watch streams of launches, much less exert the effort, cost, and hassle of planning a road trip to Florida nor Boca Chica. And that makes me sad. 😒 It used to be fun.
