Have yoootube start for you (and some others) the PLETHORA Channel

Fran, I support you on Patreon. However, I regularly get notified by You Tube when your videos are released there, It's important to get subscribers to click on the bell symbol to enable all notifications.

How do viewers know which creators are paying for views? I sponsor a number of creators on Patreon but have never paid for content otherwise. I see FranLab etc because I sponsor at a tiny amount per month so get email each time FranLab publishes. I love content about pencils as much as I enjoy content about restored films or electronics. The diversity is a part of the attraction. So sorry that it is getting more complicated for you, there has to be a space for those with more than tunnel vision. Really hope that you find a way forward, will be watching in hope. (Love pens and pencils but also vintage/antique automata etc) Guess this is my rant.

I love your rants Fran. The electronics stuff is sometimes hard for me to follow, but it's still interesting although if that's all you ever did, then I would tire of it. But because you have such a diverse range of topics that you explore, talk about and demonstrate, it never gets old for me and it makes your rants (or actually to me it's a philosophy discussion) that much more interesting because it kind of ties it all together. It will be interesting to see how your experiment in promoting the channel turns out.

Mark Hesse

I have to say that in one important aspect your videos are absolutely consistent - we get a glimpse inside the incredible Fran mind. Far more entertaining, educational and enlightening than the dross that passes for content elsewhere.

Its like the Four Yorkshiremen sketch has actually come true: "I had to get up at half past ten at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of poison, work 27 hours a day at t'mill, pay t'mill owner for permission to come to work.."

Zygmunt Dean

Fran, I do think that the people who "seek your rants" are not there for the rants, but because you are an interesting person with valuable opinions. I bet some of the videos where you just talked about a pencil you love did almost equally well. People may be less interested in how a diode matrix works than in who you are and how you experience things. Because... well, the least you can say is that you are an interesting woman.

I have been on Youtube for 10 years, recently activity began late 2019. I have a total of 132 subscribers. I am not monatized of course.

CPJ

I have emailed youtube why I dont get notifications anymore.

CPJ

Same here. I don't see you in my YouTube feed anymore, but I do see you on Patreon

YouTooob is enforcing refreshing re-engagement with your users. paying is one way to get viewers. i suspect that if you make them happy with re-engaging with the viewer base the algorithm may give you a break. the problem is that if you rely on the system feeding you non-subscribers you don't get credit for giving them what *they* want - eyeballs to sell bipverts.

Its crazy i never see your videos im just glad i see them here
