I can see where this poor girl would yell at her mother between shots "Mommy! Mommy! It itches. It hurts! Take it off!" Even if it worked, the smell of burning plastic would not be much fun. The motor probably overheated easily. Maybe the follow-up kit "Mattel Happy Fun Arc Welder" fared better using a car battery?
