Making A Custom Sign With An Atmega328P

A lot of work went into making a simple looking little sign, but I  wanted it to be lightweight, portable, battery powered, and run for a  very long time.  Mission Accomplished!  Enjoy....

Making A Custom Sign With An Atmega328P

You commented about how people complain about your ESD handling of this. My experience with Atmega based Microcontrollers is that you basically can't kill them. I've subjected them to all kinds of horrible abuse. They do stop working when they're fully immersed in rain water. But as soon as you drain the water they start right back up again. The fact that I've found this out through experience of at least a half dozen times might say something about me more than anything else but I often don't bother with enclosures for these things, even for things that I leave outside for years at a time. On the other hand some of my arm based microcontrollers will die if I just look at them wrong.

I find that a good music play list will make most any long builds more enjoyable. And my guess is that Fran has some great music play lists. Nice build Fran and thanks for sharing it with us.
