I thought it was only in the UK that warnings had to be aimed at the most stupid, but it appears to be over the pond and probably worldwide, too. I seem to recall putting a battery in my mouth as a kid and being told not to do it by one or another parent. I'm nearly 60 now and that one warning seems to have saved me from death by battery!
