Yes I understand that, but you don't go as far as returning each screw to the exact same hole?

2023-09-11 16:52:39 +0000 UTCI wonder if it'd be worth stripping it down fully to give the contacts some direct attention. Six months doesn't seem all that long after it's been treated with deoxit. In my experience that stuff lasts ages. Or maybe, adding some low temperature solder to the spring contact tips?

2023-09-09 07:41:50 +0000 UTCI think for a long lasting repair you need to reapply the gold plating on the wheel and the contact wipers. That would be tricky. Has the Deoxit a contact oil component in it? Otherwise a special contact oil might be help because it doesn’t evaporate. But it’s always a risk because of the nearby plastic elements.
