Sound And Video Issues

Comments

I listen on a Linux desktop PC, in Chrome, with Bluetooth headphones and have never heard any of these audio artifacts. I suspect you're right about it being some phone setting that's trying to make things "sound better."

Circuitmike

I commented before that the sound seemed to wobble from left to right. I always watch on my desktop with headphones. This video is perfectly mono, but a few other recent videos still had a slight wobble but only on these 'talk' videos. So maybe you hit the right button on your editing? But yeah, annoying if YouTube thinks it's "improving" your work while you go through all the trouble of making a perfectly rendered video.

I listen on Windows 10, laptop with external plugged in speakers, and have never you always sound great.

Sibilance!

Scott Baxter

I listen either on BT or wired headphones and never noticed any sound issues.

There isn't a Patreon live stream ? I get alerts from YT.

I've seen so many videos on the Internet where audio is out of sync, that I simply expect it for 40% of whatever I view. There needs to be a program where the user can enter +/- 0-1.5 seconds to get the audio to sync correctly. It was so much easier to visualize when it was all on video tape. I don't know what kind of conversions, codecs, compression, etc. goes into Internet audio processing. Beats headsets are sometimes tricked by some music where it gets imbalances, or bass increases on its own, etc. It used to bug me, but I just learned to live with it. I've never had problems with your video streams though.

Also, is there a set day and time for the Patreon stream? I get your emails but I haven't gotten a notification for the Patreon live stream. Thanks.

Hi, Fran. I don't think it's your fault. I watch on phone with BT 5.0 buds and it's not only your casts but other tubes, Spotify, podcasts, etc. If it streams there is a occasional wobble in the BT headset. It happens with a bunch of different buds and with my Android phone, tablet and iPad. Not saying that YT isn't messing with the audio, just that I get it daily in my listening of all types with buds.
