Changing The Bridge On A Gretsch

It's Big Table Time and I have a project that I have been needing to do  for a long time - to replace the bridge on my Gretsch White Falcon.   Enjoy!

Changing The Bridge On A Gretsch

That's a gorgeous Falcon. The Bigsby handle is NICE! I've got a few Gretsch guitars, Gretsch came out with a roller tune-o-matic that came out (briefly) in the 90's - I stuck one on one of my Duo Jets - for the life of me I can't remember if it's the right radius or not but it otherwise works great Marking the string location on the saddles with a Sharpie is genius. LOL I don't know why I didn't do that on any of my bridge swaps. These days I stick Tru-Arcs on everything. Even though they are not rollers, the bridge "rocks" like the original Gretsch bridges do. And you can get the right radius. For everybody stating that they want the bridge pinned, that's just not how Gretsch guitars usually roll. You don't notice a floating bridge after a while. https://truarcbridgeworks.com/

Nice bridge, I'm glad you cut the screws rather than drill a hole in the bridge. Regarding the screw cutting tool. Most people thread those in from the top where the lettering is. So, if you cut off a three that is short than the width of the tool then it will fall out instead of being stuck in the screw cutter. Also, when unscrew the recently cut screw the unscrewing of it helps remove the flashing.
