I think if you are thinking about making merch, you should probably make merch... I will buy your merch. I am sure that the other supporters will also buy your merch. I have like 3 t-shirts, and the oldest ones are getting worn out! Super important that the merch you sell is killer and creative, but also it should be easy for you. So, put up a t-shirt, see what happens...
