William Shatner - Washington (1973)

80% of the audio in this US Government film had to be deleted due to  copyright claims. (USA!! USA!!)) But this interesting 16mm film was made  by the City of Washington, DC to promote itself and stars William  Shatner as our tour guide.  This film was shot before the completion of  the NASM on the Mall, but it includes an interesting visit at 12:15 to  the National Air Museum which used to reside in a Quonset Hut located on  the South Yard which contained the classic American aircraft as well as  the Command Module Columbia and LEM2 at that time.   When the NASM was  built for the Bicentennial the National Air Museum was demolished.    Enjoy!

William Shatner - Washington (1973)

Comments

The White House has been the residence of all the US presidents since John Adams in 1800 who was the second President of the nation.

Leslie Deana

I can see Shatner with his agent... "Dammit man! I'm Captain James T. Kirk! In prime time! And I'm from Canada and this the BEST you can do for me?" "Bill, I'm really sorry, but Star Trek tanked. It's dead, Jim, I mean Bill. Star Trek is already being forgotten by the world. There will never be another Star Trek and you will never be Captain James T. Kirk again. God, man, get over yourself and take this job!" "Alright! I'll take it. But only because I'm two months late on rent. And Star Trek WILL rise form the ashes. I WILL BE CAPTAIN KIRK AGAIN!" "Fine, Bill. Now will you just beam yourself out of my office? I've got Leonard Nimoy coming in next and I have some dog of a series called "In Search Of" to pitch to him."
