Whattaya Do With An Empty Lab???

Comments

Was there a kitchen in FLK2.0?

Dr Andy Hill

Those floors are gorgeous.

Great, now I'm walking around tripping over all my unfinished projects while singing "what shall we do with an empty lab?" to the tune of "Drunken Sailor:

New technologies always welcome! <3

Just before COVID I had a chance to get into technical photography and was looking at various camera drones primarily for indoor use. Hadn't made up my mind before COVID ruined everything, and even considered making my own, but DJI kept staying on the list because of its rock-solid camera stability, decent optics, durability and long flight time. My goal was to get cameras "wherever". For access over 12", send the drone (with prop guards!). For access of 5"-12", send in a small robot with a stabilized camera mount. For smaller access I was looking at 4K endoscopes/borescopes, but quality 4K optics add a zero to the price. My niche was going to be in-situ photography/videography of tough-to-view items, with a primary service of inspection (working with certified commercial and government inspectors), and secondary service of photogrammetric 3D model generation (for engineers and architects). Got the computers and software I needed, and built a prototype 3-wheel robot, but that was as far as I got.

Looks spotless and love those hardwood floors. Sad that you have to leave FranLab 2.0 so soon. But time now to make some new memories in 3.0. Thanks for sharing and take care!

So long, FL2.0. We hardly knew ya'! Did we ever have a video from the Kitchen Lab? I'm surprised how pristine it is. I've never left a space looking that good, even after patching, painting and cleaning!

Oh I certainly hope you do a review on that drone. I've been looking to buy one, but just can't justify the cost of a DJI, so wondering what is yours, in any case looking forward to it, if you do create a video about it.
