Great job! I use a lot of that self-sealing rubber tape on aircraft wiring bundles. It's really amazing stuff! I've seen it used on the handle on baseball bats and wrapped around the control stick of a Blue Angels F-18. Never saw that before, but I guess with the extreme maneuvers they make they need the best gloved hand-to-grip surface possible. I like the way you stripped the impedance adapter and just used the internal transformer. A lot of people would not go that trouble. The copper foil tape is also invaluable. Especially around stuff like your fluorescent light, as you showed. I've had to use it a lot near electronics noise makers like power inverters, motors, light fixtures, etc. It's amazing stuff! I think I would have done exactly what you had done. I love watching your problem solving abilities!

2021-08-07 18:43:41 +0000 UTCWhen you record with the headset, there's a high-frequency "sine wave"-like tone that is audible only when you are not speaking into the microphone. I wonder if that is the Zoom recorder itself when the compressor is wide open, or if it is picking something else up in the lab?
