Suborbital FranLab!!!!!!!

The time has come for Fran to go Suborbital! I have gone deep into my  savings to make my top bucket list dream a reality this year - a ride  aboard the G-Force One - a modified Boeing 727 that creates  weightlessness by flying parabolic arcs. I will be spending about 5  minutes in Zero Gravity and also getting to walk around and do  experiments in Lunar and Martian gravity as well. It is by far the most  costly thing I have ever undertaken, so I have set up this GoFundMe  campaign to allow my viewers to ease the painful part of this amazing  journey -

FranLab In ZERO-G: https://www.gofundme.com/f/suborbital-franlab

And I am going to share it all with you through some amazing videos on  my YouTube Channel! Yes - the vast expense of this project includes  professional camerawork with a trained flight video crew, so this  adventure will be something that I hope we all can enjoy equally.

Since I can't do this myself (couldn't pass the medical!) I will make a donation and travel with you in spirit, and watch the videos. Take care and have lots of fun.

Sadiq Mohamed

You need an assistant to join you. I have a volunteer...

A lot of people create a complex plan of what they want to film themselves doing on the flight. But once they're up there the plan get ignored. Happened to Physics Girl and Simone Yetch. I think it happens for a few reasons,. but mainly being too excited to do work. Hopefully the film crew you hired are provide by G-Force One and are good at zero G filming. Make sure you are mic'ed up good, as there can be a lot of noise from other people on the flight happening around you. Yelling Screaming etc..

fyi just saw this .... old tech that needs a taredown and explanation on how it works ....

Good luck Fran let's hope it does not fun into the vomit comet 😁l

I chipped in right away because this is awesome, but then I watched your video and your enthusiasm is absolutely infectious and I suspect it'll be the deciding factor in many people deciding to contribute!

I saw your comment on YouTube about the MiG flight for $10K and it reminded me that I passed up a somewhat similar opportunity. In 2000 I lived in Pompano Beach, Florida, home to Pompano Beach Airpark. Not only is that home to one of the Goodyear blimps, but at the time there was also a company operating there that gave short (1 hour?) flights in a MiG for $700. You even got to log it as jet instruction time if you were a pilot, which I was at the time. I'm still kicking myself 21 years later for passing up that opportunity.

Wowzer!

Awesome!!!!!!

It has been one of my dreams too, enjoy the ride

Didn't even need to watch the video to convince me! Donation completed!

Fran will slip the surly bonds of Earth....

James Baloun

One giant leap for Fuzz-kind.

James Baloun

That's one small step for a Fran,

James Baloun

How long does it take to become accustomed to 1/3 ( mars ) or 1/6 ( moon ) gravity and be able to "walk" what ever "normal" becomes ? 1 parabola each of 20-30 seconds sounds kind of short.

Allen Lorenz

I'm very excited to be helpful in the small way I am able. And so glad to see others willing to pitch in

Michael F Barushok

So did that insane 1.5M views on the UFO video help pay for this? :-) Anyway, what a cool adventure to be going on!

Philip Stephens

I won't throw up - but I will be sick with excitement...

Fran Blanche

No - I am fully vaccinated, and one of the stipulations in the contract is that all participants have to pass a covid test to board.

Fran Blanche

Will you have to wear a mask? Serious question, because that would totally ruin the video and audience experience IMO.

EEVblog

OMG so jealous!

I didn't even know there was a civilian equivalent to the "Vomit Commit" KC-135 the USAF/NASA uses for weightless training. Chase and catch your dream! We'll follow along!

Matt Wietlispach

Fran's going on the vomit comet !

adrian

DO IT!

William Alsing

LOVE IT!!! Donated!

Fantastic! Well-deserved.

Mark Wilkes

This is terrific! Heading over to gofundme right now...

Mark Sundstrom

I'm in :-)

Bill Kerr

Will you do the Virgin Galactic trip as well should the GoFundMe go astronomical? (If my estimation is correct 2000% should get you close to 250k)

Maarten Daalder

Go for it, Fran!
