UPDATE - I had to re-edit this and upload again, so any comments on the YouTube side will be erased.  Be sure to re-comment over there if you wish.....

Thanks everyone for helping to get FranLab closer than ever to our 2020 goal of getting fully funded!   And thanks to Dave Jones for getting me some much needed masks for work, for me and my Philly woodworking friends.

I've owned many Honeywell units and they have a very different system to the BlueAir - the BlueAir have a thick gradual layer, not like the foam activated carbon layers Honeywell uses.

If I thought my filters were out-gassing a smell, I'd put all of them in my storage shed and see if the odor is still present. For example, we all know silicon caulk out-gasses a vinegar smell.

Jan Snyder-Ellerman

So good to see you better. I've got room filters in my den/lab, pretty much in every room of my home. I've never gotten a vinegar smell from them. And yes. each has a carbon pre-filter followed by a hepa filter. They are Honeywell.

Jan Snyder-Ellerman

There's no easy answer for that one. Get the co-op board to ban smoking in the building or insist the smokers get the air purifiers.

Fran Blanche

Hi Fran. I would like your advice on air purifiers. My daughter lives in a co-op. Someone in the building is smoking marijuana (legally). The smoke gets into her apartment and puts her at risk of losing her security clearance. Do you recommend the BlueAir purifiers for smoke removal. Have you figured out the vinegar smell? Do you (or your listeners) have any other recommendations for us? Thanks.

Yes - the live DJ sets are running form I think 9am to 9pm EDT then they are on autoDJ all night long, at least for the time being.

That an MTv video classic!

Just listening to that radio station..I don't recognise any tunes yet but they seem to appeal to me. Looking at the lyrics on some of them and they're from the 80's like this one playing now Peter Schiling Major Tom.

MrMobodies

COOL! Glad to be one of the few thank you

William Nimmo

None. Very high chance that they will develop mildew too.

Fran Blanche

They offer a new shirt every year to entice donations - this one is from last year.

Fran Blanche

Not likely. And the carbon would filter out the smell if it did.

Fran Blanche

Kinda an off question Fran. Would you have any advice on how to recover vinyl album jackets that got water damaged and are stuck together now?

Gilbert Pfaff

Listening to WPRB now, I don't now what's playing but I like it. And I love the T shirt, where can I get one?

David Peaker

vinegar? could it be bacterial growth and fermentation?
