Yes, Fran, I have absolutely no problem with paying the tax on my humble pledge! The main thing is for you to get through the health challenges. I'll return to your previous videos until you get back on top of it all; you've done so much for us, given us so much, just take it easy, take your time... Design a "no button" DIY kit we can buy where you'll ship all the parts and instructions for assembly and sell me one. That's all the thanks I'd want. I'd like one for christmas, is that a fair deadline? You can sell me parts, partial assembly, or a finished button, and price it properly for the time and markups on materials. Frankly I think you could find a niche or partner with someone like adafruit and get a good sideline going for small gadgets beyond the music market, and kits might suit your partial retirement better than squinting over a solder gun all night. Possibly even just license your designs directly to someone like Adafruit and just take a commission off sales? Well good luck, Fran. I don't envy you living in that country. If you ever need to flee, Canada takes in refugees.

Yah ok, I put you on my group list to make up for the tax grab. The amount I'll be charged is 5% for canadian GST (goods and services tax). GST is charged on everything not listed as "essential." So if I go paint your bathroom and my business is more than $30k in the last quarter, then I must charge you another 5% and I'm expected to hold that in trust and pay up quarterly or annually. All businesses are expected to get a tax number for it too.

Dear Fran, painful experiences in the past may make you unprepared for this warm support from your audience but now you know that there are folk who love what you do and who you are. I wish you peace and joy.
