Frantone Time!  I got a vintage Lo-Tone Classic Fuzz in for repair and thought that I'd make a little video of it.  Enjoy!

I would have loved to have worked with you. Now retired, I'm happy to have found your videos and cheer, laugh, and thoroughly enjoy everything you decide to put up. Don't let anyone dictate what you make & share here. As you well know, tons of folks watch your vids hoping to rip off something they can monetize. So, just do your own thing, things that we smile at with you, enjoy the fun of the simple geek comraderie.

I use a short (1cm) silicone tube at the tip of the desoldering tools. Its elasticity helps a lot to get a much air tighter connection.

Just added a piezo mic to my favorite ukulele. Experimenting with pedal simulations before I pick one/some to buy. Are there any simulations for FranTone pedals? (Will SPICE sims of the circuits suffice?)

Request: When talking circuits, even simple ones, would you please pull out a sheet of FranCAD (TM) Circuit Illustration Media? (Or, if you must, a DaveCAD whiteboard or Post-It will do.)

BobC

Fran, dissembling the melted socket, channeling Chief Brody. "Gonna need a bigger hammer."

Stephen Woods

That's what the pedal is for. ☺

Fran Blanche

Brooklyn, Cream Puff, and Vibutron are still available on the Frantone website ☺...

As a musician, i would love to own one of your pedals. 😀

Great repair video Fran, but I noticed your amp only goes up to 10. What do you do when you need that little bit extra?

David Peaker

Yes - updated the video this morning...

Fran Blanche

'Fluid' damage looks like it could be battery leakage.

Dave Davies

The "crowbar" is a neat circuit idea. I really need one of those de-soldering tools. Thanks Fran.
