New Printer!

Here's a sneak peek at the freshly unboxed Makegear M3 dual independent head printer - I still have to make the shroud for it before I start printing to contain and vent the outgassed volatiles.  Even with PLA the fumes cause me severe respiratory distress.

Patreon only allows me to post pictures as attachments now, so go figure why that is.  You'll have to download the picture to view it.  'Cmon Patreon!  What is the problem?

Looks well built! Cant wait to see what you do with this machine.

Very nice. And yes, fume hood/enclosure is essential.

Wow, that thing looks like a beast! I literally just finished assembling my new 3D printer an hour ago, and it worked perfectly first time, but something tells me your new toy is just a little more professional!

Looks well made.

Would love to see the decision tree: - What factors were most important to you? - Which printers did you consider? - Were there any printers or brands you refused to consider? - Ignoring finances, how long did it take to make the decision?

Just curious. Will you give us a breakdown of your rationale for choosing this particular printer? Full disclosure, even though I own Mendelmax 2 and 3 (dual), and work with many other makes of printers up to Stratasys polyjets, I appreciate that different printers are suited to different tasks or makers.

Looks sweet!

Nice and yes a fume/noise shroud is a must IMHO. Dual extruding is fun especially when you can mix pva and pla together and you an use the pva to make holes or add supports which can be washed away in soapy water.

Great!

Nice. Got an Ender 3 last year as I can justify $200 for a 'toy'. Spent well over $200 on upgrades lol. p.s. Big Clive's latest Patreon post had an embedded image.

Lucky you. My MakerGear M2 is a workhorse! Once dialed in, you'll have thousands of hours of trouble free printing. Their customer support is top notch as well.

You know what they say. Two heads are better than one. :D

Looks sturdy - missing a ruler for scale lol

Looks very solid, I like it. The picture is no problem, just a double click and it opens in my default viewer (win 10).

That's a pretty sick printer! Worth downloading the picture 🤣🤣

Fred

Looks great!!

Ooh nice - I'm glad I'm not the only person that can't use printers without an enclosure, really messes with my throat, even with the low volatile PLA blends.

Aly

Nice. I only have an Flashforge Finder. Without a heated bed. Its an struggle to get something printed without it flat out falling off the print surface, even with glue. So envy. :) But you deserve it!

That's pretty neat!
