Fran, thanks so much for the museum tour - it looks like a very cool place. I too love the old locomotives. If you ever visit the West coast, there is a fine train museum in Sacramento CA: https://www.californiarailroad.museum/

I don't care what it was designed for, will it work?

Engineering should never fail to impress. If you can be impressed by the Pyramids and the Eiffel tower you should be equally impressed by Stphenson's Rocket or Brunell's Clifton Suspension Bridge Good to see so many kids get excited about hands on Engineering in a world that has becomes so abstracted and digital.

The only thing I don't like is that those locos don't run. I think it's a damn shame that America puts most of their steamers in museums instead of running them.

I was born in Philly and grew up in the suburbs. This brings back so many memories. Thank you Fran. I thouight they made a big hole in the end of the building and drove train in. There used to be pictures on the wall of it. back in my day they sometimes ran the locomotion back and forth a short distance.

I remember the song; and I am, another day older and deeper in debt; St Peter don't call me 'cus I can't go, I owe my soul to the company store :-)
