Doing CNC On The Spot With The Origin

The first project in the new lab space is one of necessity - to fix a badly installed HVAC system by installing an assist fan to get a room heated. A little thought, a pencil tracing, and the Shaper Origin will take care of this. Enjoy!

Interesting equipment - nice project!

This looks like a project someone with your skills could accomplish. EDM machining might be a process you could use. https://youtu.be/rpHYBz7ToII

Fascinating piece of equipment. I was wondering about the tendency to pull the bit to and fro. You covered that. Excellent demonstration.

Glue it and screw it. Nice build Fran.

What an interesting tool. And just perfect for that job. I can only think of the other ways of doing it and they all seem simpler but less precise. I am surprised you did not decide to paint it white though. But I guess that is just low priority vs the need for heat. Thanks for sharing!

Nice use of a chisel, that paper wastes so much production time. Chisel makes raftless 3D print removal a snap. Well done shooting and editing a project while making the new space.

Very interesting tool, especially for jobs like that. Glad to see you’re starting to get settled in the new place. Ewen
