Loving the pod casts Fran . I think like you say film and video are two separate things , i can best describe it like the difference between CD and Vinyl where CD is a series of binary codes so it a 1 or a 0 and its just not got the depth that vinyl has because that is infinite variation.

2019-03-25 23:25:25 +0000 UTCI built my own rss feed using the rfeed module in python described here: <a href="https://www.cyberciti.biz/python-tutorials/how-to-generate-rss-2-0-feed-quickly-using-python/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.cyberciti.biz/python-tutorials/how-to-generate-rss-2-0-feed-quickly-using-python/</a> . Since I have a set of python scripts to manage my podcasts and sync them to the phone it was worth the 5 minutes to paste the information from contourcorsets.com into the example python script for generating an rss feed to have one locally.

2019-03-13 17:16:38 +0000 UTCFran, any chance of a podcast RSS feed?
2019-03-12 04:38:22 +0000 UTCI like your podcasts, Thank you

2019-03-10 18:08:09 +0000 UTCIt would seem that the very concept of nostalgia would no longer apply to future generations.

2019-03-10 16:25:38 +0000 UTCThanks - the one drawback of the new audio-in-camera method I use for video is the relatively poor native audio that the cameras have. I'm back to the high res audio in the podcasts.

2019-03-10 16:12:23 +0000 UTCYes - I can get the high band audio in the podcast!

2019-03-10 16:04:17 +0000 UTCBeautiful episode Fran and the audio is great.
2019-03-10 14:21:29 +0000 UTCLove the Philly podcasts. Reminds me of Alistair Cooke's 'Letter from America'
2019-03-10 13:59:36 +0000 UTCI pushed this episode through some amplification - nice quality audio Fran ! I'm guilty of using the word 'film' to mean 'shooting video' - that's just a generation thing - genuine 'film' was all we had way back in the '70s :o)
2019-03-10 10:39:29 +0000 UTCThe link goes through Youtube and Youtube redirects to <a href="http://contourcorsets.com/francast.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://contourcorsets.com/francast.html</a> If you open the link without going through Youtube, you get a 404. But if you go through the Youtube link at least once, it leaves a cookie (or performs some other black browser magic that I don't understand) and your browser opens it. Weird... Probably a way to restrict access to Patrons.

2019-03-10 08:08:51 +0000 UTCthese pod casts are great! thank you!
2019-03-10 07:34:54 +0000 UTCI get a 404 error when using the link in the Patreon app as it munged the URL in some way... I had to type out the URL before it would work
2019-03-10 06:45:45 +0000 UTCGood luck with the moving - don't blow a Phoo Phew valve

2019-03-10 06:21:35 +0000 UTCIt's a bit sad that we get hit with fake film, but maybe its just a sign of the times. It's sad to think that for the kids of today this is going to be their good old days.

2019-03-10 06:20:53 +0000 UTCI saw this in IMAX last week. While it was still digital projection, it was using their newer 8K format, so you could see all of the film grain from the original film sources. If you have an opportunity to see it in IMAX, I would recommend it over seeing it in standard digital 4K.

2019-03-10 01:47:13 +0000 UTCI hear you on “film”. But sadly almost everything is DLP these days. Even our local Film Society (largest in NZ) is left with just DLP projections because that’s all the theatres can support these days, and the main “Film” festival is down to 1-4 out of hundreds of movies shown being actually off real film (16mm or sometimes 35mm), but they’re running out of venues that can even do that in special request...
