Finding A New Home For FranLab

Triple thanks to all of you for hanging in there with me through this mess!

Finding A New Home For FranLab

Comments

We love you Fran. I'm a patron and I donated to your go fund me because I love Franlab and the work you do.

Zed

Hopefully you can get a place that is more than temporary. Try to keep that in mind. Having to do this again in a few years would be such a pain, not to mention disruptive. We are hanging in there for you Fran.

Nice to see the GoFundMe campaign was a success.

I remember having my 1920's era 8000 lb lathe moved from my shop. they chained it to a flatbed and they pulled the legs out and that broke the casting - it's wasn't easy getting it back off the ground and having the cast iron leg repaired - I had to visit a special welder to have it fixed. Fortunately the move was only 3/4 mile to my house and into my garage.

Main point - don't panic buy. The situation might make you want to rush the decision.... but don't. The new place needs to be suitable.

Fran, so pleased that your GoFundMe has already been fulfilled! Someone donated $1,000! Your community loves you!

Wow Fran, lots a love out there, just woke up (UK) and looked on your Go FundMe your at the 10k already!!

We know you've still got a lot of heavy lifting and organising to do, but hang in there, you've got a lot of support.

Just made my donation, and was happy to see that the goal was reached. But that did not stop me from adding to the pot. :) Good luck with the move, Fran. Things are going to be ok. :)

I stuck around when you said you quit YouTube I'm not going anywhere because you got the shaft by some cocktrolly.

Zach Allin

I just went to the gofundme to donate, and it had already reached its $10,000 goal after 13 hours, and fewer than 200 donors!

life is wierd

Great idea! I'm sure they would be glad to lend a hand. -KK4NEF

It pains me to see you dealing with these hassles when you'd obviously so much rather be taking stuff apart and putting it back together better. But I want to say, someday this will all be in the past, and I wish you a long stretch of calm to do your real work.

It wouldn’t be a true lab without the mess! Moving it or otherwise. We’re sticking with ya! :)

Fran try contacting your local Ham Radio club there and I am sure they would be pleased to help you with the heavy stuff and the move.

Best of luck Fran, you got this!
