Viewer Mail 10A: Display Innovations 1972-76

Complete nerd porn - I delve through the files of a former Zenith Radio Corp engineer who was developing next generation clocks for the auto industry in the early 70's, and oh what a treasure trove it is!  This is my condensed video - I spent over an hour and a half going through the pages, and this is the cream of the crop, distilled for your viewing pleasure.   So lets go back - to the future!  Enjoy!

I have to go through all the envelopes and sort the chips - I imagine some of them are limited run prototypes.

I'll put my staff to work on it. (giggle)

Awesome haul! The MM5316 is my go-to - direct drive of VFDs. It's amazing how Panaplex became a flash in the pan. It would interesting to see if that ATI chip became reality, and if any exist. Probably a lot more rare than finding a P-P display.

How much does this stuff need to be scanned and put in an online archive! Just incredible vintage material

I thought that Compucorp advert looked familiar... <a href="http://bitsavers.trailing-edge.com/pdf/compucorp/Compucorp_445_Preliminary_Operating_Manual.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://bitsavers.trailing-edge.com/pdf/compucorp/Compucorp_445_Preliminary_Operating_Manual.pdf</a>

And How! Thanks for library.... it will go to good use.
