Wow so much great stuff! I guess the CMS core memory board I found most delightful. Also the tremendous stamp collection contribution was equally fantastic. I have some cool sh*t I might send your way. Though I am a pack rat like I know you are too.

The synthesized voice on the DEC demo recording sounded so familiar ... then I realized it was Stephen Hawkings "voice". I finally found this in an article from Wired: "Hawking is very attached to his voice: in 1988, when Speech Plus gave him the new synthesizer, the voice was different so he asked them to replace it with the original. His voice had been created in the early '80s by MIT engineer Dennis Klatt, a pioneer of text-to-speech algorithms. He invented the DECtalk, one of the first devices to translate text into speech."
