Anyone wanna snipe a NIMO auction for FranLab?
Added 2018-03-27 17:16:02 +0000 UTC8 months ago nobody knew what these things were but now - because of some video a lady put on YouTube - people are fighting over these NIMO things. If I had two more I could build a clock, but if I had this kinds dough I'd buy a new camera. Well, like Blondie said - 'Dreaming Is Free'.

2018-03-27 22:24:39 +0000 UTCFran, you must have seen the VFD 7-segment tubes where the digits just seem to float in mid air (ok, mid vacuum). The phosphorus segments are supported only by the fine wires and there's no mica substrate most of the tubes have. That would make a super-cool clock (hint, hint)..

2018-03-27 18:17:05 +0000 UTCeBay don't make a team effort easy. Quite often it's only you and one other bidder pushing the price up. Many years ago, eBay used to display the id of other bidders - in a one-on-one scenario I would often contact the other party and see if we could 'come to an arrangement' . I guess eBay cottoned onto that as they now hide bidder ids.. I agree that us bidding against each other would just push the price up. I find the best option now is to contact the seller and see if they will do a buy-it-now or (God forbid) sell it outside of eBay. Quite often I find that I have something the seller would be interested in which might tempt them to finish the auction early..
