This week, I'll take a quick look at the numbers behind the game.
Making and releasing Leap of Faith took 2 years and 8 months from first to last render. Since U4iA has been in development for 2 years and 8 months now as well, it is only fair to look at the numbers and compare.
Comparing actual story renders, it's almost exactly the same. U4iA now has 14 renders less than the completed LoF game. That's 0.14% less (or about half a day of work). When it comes to animations, the differences are vast. U4iA currently has 47% more animations, with a runtime that's 52% longer. I also believe that the U4iA animations and overall image quality are a huge improvement over LoF.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, work is going well, and I still have as much fun now as I did in the early days, when everything was new. To prove that, this week's numbers are 271 story renders and 855 animated frames. Probably my best week ever.
A bit of an odd preview this time, as it won't be used in the game. But this image had a lot of shirt clipping out of her pants, so I decided to render it twice - one with shirt, and one without - to simplify postwork in Photoshop.
So, here's Evangeline, going bareback? (sorry, fresh out of puns today).

As a bit of trivia, because I'm trying to populate the renders with some other people to make it seem more crowded - the guy in the grey suit on the right is Daz store's version of John Cena, and the guy behind him poking his head out is LoF MC, with Artemis' MC hair. Or, as Lexi would say... that's like a fifth wall, inside the fourth wall.
Have a lovely weekend, and since it's Friday the 13th today, stay extra safe out there.
