Dev Diary, February 14th, 2025
Added 2025-02-14 13:00:18 +0000 UTCGot about 100 renders done this week. The reason for the lower-than-average numbers is that I got sick earlier in the week. Decided to go to the doctor and got the results back yesterday. Seems I have the Rhinovirus. And as ridiculous as that sounds, I haven't got any horns growing anywhere recently. It's just a name for a virus that pops up this time of the year.
The downside is that it supposedly lasts for 2-4 weeks, so I'm chewing some c-vitamins to help fight it.
I'm still working in between the fewer and headaches, but progress is inevitably going slower than I would have liked it to be.
But this week, I started exploring Penelope's route because it's about time we got to know her better.
For some reason I had chosen Genesis 8 as the base figure for her. If you don't know, Genesis 8, 8.1, and 9 are the base figures we make our models from. I haven't used Genesis 8 at all since 8.1 was released several years ago, and it seems my 'mouth moving' morphs for Genesis 8 was gone from my render rig. That means, when I posed her talking, it would render her with her mouth closed which had to be re-done.
So I decided to convert her to Genesis 8.1, gave her some more cheekbones to make sure she doesn't look too young, some skin improvements, and this is the result.
She's a lot of fun to be around in her own quirky way. Or Miss Multi Pass, as I like to call her. (You probably need to be older than average to understand that reference.) :)

Since we were dating my wife told me never get me cut flowers or chocolate (she doesnt like it) for the fake holiday on feb 14. So we buy live plants for the house later in the spring . So no I dont even get a card. She would throw it at me if I did..
