One of the things I love about making these games is that the characters evolve almost beyond my control as the story progresses. As I mentioned last week, I was working on a scene with Teagan, and as I put her and 'you' into the scene and saw how you got along, everything changed from what I had scripted.
As a result, the 'two or so' animations I had planned turned into much more, and the same happened with the still renders. That took most of the week, and my render rig has worked nonstop since last Friday—mainly on those animations. 1,614 frames of animation were done, and some 40-ish story renders.
This episode has passed 100 animations now, which, compared to 117 for the first and second episodes combined is a decent increase. Overall, I'm delighted with this episode so far, but I have to fill a lot of holes before I can even start thinking about finishing up.
But, from a redhead to a blonde... This week, it's Sea-time. And here's my prep test for that one. Let's see what she's got in store for us.
Have a nice weekend, and stay safe out there.
