Another Unexpected windfall happened.
That 3D artists I mentioned previously proved himself more capable then I could have ever hoped and finished the Oven model mere hours after I published the last post, and as you can see, It came out absolutely gorgeous.
And after fighting with blender and nifskope for another day or so, I managed to finally bring it ingame and started working on the scripts.
Did some tinkering with the vanilla fire assets and I think I achieved something good looking, but I will leave that for you to decide when the initial beta drops. Similar to the other cooking utensil, this oven can switch between different heat levels with different visuals.
Speaking of other cooking utensils,
Thanks to their existence, there were many script snippets and functions I could re-use for the new device, so progress Is now fairly fast after the more challenging assets have been finished.
Whats left now is to make a few character animations in a similar manner to the Hanger/Signpost and expand the scripts accordingly, but As you can probably guess, there are already mechanics and scripts available in deadly furnitures which do something very similar, so I don't expect any meaningful roadblocks here.
Also, as this Oven model became Available faster then expected, I changed plans and put the tripod-grill variant off for after the main device is finished. A model for that is simple enough that even I can shamble it together in an hour or so, and script wise, It a simpler variant of the Oven, so it should be more or less a freebie in terms of effort.
With All that said, I expect to have a playable version out by next weekend at the very latest.
