addressing feedback about the denim items

I'm making this post because I want to be crystal clear with you.

I'm very sorry if it wasn't clear from the previews, but Spider Monkey Jeans and Bells Skirt are not 'slightly' edited base game items. I see where this confusion may come from because I made simple basic models since Bella wore mostly simple bootcut jeans in the film. I needed something to pair the tops I've made for the collection. As for the skirt, I know she didn't wear any, but I wanted to add more options which you can mix and match and use in your everyday gameplay.

I was confused by some people saying it's the base game textures, because I made them myself from scratch. With my own very hands. I indeed used Maxis meshes and I always used a lot of Maxis meshes to make my own stuff. Many MM creators do so.

Here's what I've used as an inspiration for the jeans:

Here's the proof all the textures are mine and handcrafted:

 All layers are on

 Disabled ambient occlusion maps with baked folds and highlights.

 Disabled almost everything except metal parts, the sticker on the back and back pockets.

 Enabled back ambient occlusion and kept pockets.

Maxis texture doesn't come in layers, since everything is saved in DDS format. No way I could separate it into small pieces and edit them to my liking. I only could make a completely new one.

This how the EA texture looks if you just export it from the game so you can compare.

I understand the confusion may come from the fact that these items are similar to the ones that already exist in the game, but I always believed more options the better. I make a lot of 'extra' stuff, but this time I wanted to go for something cozy, simpler, something that reflects the vibe of the film. I also wanted to try my hand on denim from scratch with everything I've learnt from the past months so I did.
