Course of Temptation February Update Early Access (v0.7.6)

The early access period for the February update is here!

This update focuses mostly on the library basement storyline, adding a couple of new events to the set, and then as the storyline proceeds, converting it into an area you can visit anytime with a social event taking place during the weekly discussion time.

Some work has been done on sex toys, with NPCs now potentially bringing their own collection to an encounter, and some toys available depending on the contents of the room (currently only for the library basement, but we'll develop this further).

A new bowling alley and jewelry shop have been added to the town. The bowling alley is the location of a new hangout/date type.

There are a couple of new tabs under the Character screen that collect some stats that otherwise were never seen in one place. These are works in progress, so let us know what you think!

The "customize NPC" interface has gotten some updating, and now separates the possible options under different categories. Please note that the Hair category and interface is not in its final form and will get some updating as we head toward public release next week.

Release notes

• NPCs may now carry their own sex toy selection with them

• Their sex toy choices depend on their inclinations and orientation — for example, lesbian NPCs are more likely to carry strap-ons

• Added an option under Content Options that enables NPCs bringing sex toys to encounters, which is on by default

• Added new location images for places around campus that reflect the current season (contributed by HeartsDmise)

• Added a small optional alternate branch to the milkshake story conclusion that better accommodates lesbian PCs

• A truly crucial change: Toenails and fingernails are no longer hidden by sandals and fingerless gloves and the like

• Added a new UI for NPC customization that breaks things down into separate categories and uses dropdown options rather than clickable choices

• Added the X-cross and sex bench from the library basement as proper furniture definitions that can be used as room contents for encounters

• Added a “subs serving drinks” event to the basement library set

• Added a partner swap event to the basement library set

• Added an event where the librarian grants a dom PC access to the library basement anytime, unlocking this as an actual location you can visit

• Visiting this location during the Saturday evening discussion places into an ongoing social event similar to the quad party or Greek party, where you can mingle and chat with random events happening

• The library basement discussion also has unique opportunities, allowing you to order drinks from subs serving from the bar, or avail yourself of subs on display on the room’s furniture

• Added a new type of booty call specific to the library basement that you can use once you have a key

• Added sex toys as room contents — for example, having an encounter in the library basement provides access to paddles and floggers

• Added some vegan sex toys (contributed by Meat Glacier)

• Added a bowling alley called Lickety Splits on Saffron Street (contributed by Rfpnj)

• The bowling alley also provides some new related clothing and decor items (contributed by Rfpnj)

• Added a new hangout/date type for the bowling alley (contributed by Rfpnj)

• Added a new special world seed, “pearlnecklace”, for more NPCs who enjoy getting messy (contributed by Rfpnj)

• The sports practice progress screen now reveals the base type of each segment practiced, which generally progress linearly within their type (contributed by Rfpnj)

• Added an Employment tab on the Character screen that sums up your status with the various actual jobs in the game (contributed by Rfpnj, with assistance from CGeorge)

• The event where The Classroom Admirer gives you a sketch of your tabletop character now actually grants you a decor item (contributed by Rfpnj)

• Added a selection of new books to Nobby Barns (contributed by Rfpnj and the romance book contest participants)

• Hangout/date memories with NPCs are now more detailed (contributed by CGeorge)

• Added a Social Media tab to the Character screen summarizing your status on the various video and streaming platforms (contributed by CGeorge)

• Added a collectible card stats screen to sum up how many games you’ve won and lost, the status of your collection, and so on (contributed by noonycurt)

• Altered a number of hair accessories to no longer interfere with other items that cover the head (contributed by Hee Ho)

• Added hair beads, cowrie shell belly chain, ao dai tunic and pants, fuzzy pants, fuzzy bolero, loud and gaudy suit bits, novelty beret, kimono, furisode, yukata, pawprint socks and gloves, animal print skirts and crop tops, leather garter belts, and probably more things I missed to various stores in the game (contributed by Hee Ho)

• Added a new shop, Family Jewels, to Nutmeg Street to sell a lot of jewelry, and the Mr Gable’s jewerly department items have been relocated to it (contributed by Hee Ho)

• Added some new hairstyles and hair colors (contributed by Hee Ho)

• Added an “Outsider” option to the popularity options in the prologue (contributed by Hee Ho)
