Hey everyone! James here with an exciting announcement. We have expanded the Fall of Blackbottom into a much longer adventure, and we want all of you to playtest it. Based on the original adventure by Sadie Lowry, this update was penned by Leon Barillaro! The adventure package, including pregens, is attached to this post below.
As this is a playtest, please keep in mind that the text hasn't been through a full edit pass yet. You'll probably see some typos! You'll also note that there is no art, the adventure hasn't been laid out, and that most of the maps are the rough version (and the finished ones are from the MAD Cartographer). That's because this adventure is still in playtest mode! If you want to play the finished thing only, you should have it several months from now.

Note that the latest version of the core rules is available right here on Patreon. You'll need those to run the adventure as well.

I was so inspired by the original fall of blackbottom playtest that i didn’t run it for my groups—I wanted to start a campaign with it. What I’ve been able to make my way through on this version looks great; I’m thoroughly stoked to kickoff some games once my players get their hands on the heroes book.

2025-07-02 15:54:38 +0000 UTCOooh nice, loving that updated map it looks real good. I ran the original as a Draw Steel intro (twice!) and it went pretty well, had a lot of fun and both groups got to do some cool stuff. Looking forward to the finished product might have to revisit it.
