#Girlboss on The Financial Diet

This month, Lindsay and team are pleased to share the fruits of the big project we've been working on for the past couple months! The Financial Diet's YouTube channel is hosting four of Lindsay's videos all about money and media. The videos are coming out every Tuesday in January.

"The Dangerous Myth of the #Girlboss" was the first, and you can find the second one, "What TV Gets Right (And Wrong) About the Working Class" here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7R6uEO8H8So

Look out for two more videos from Lindsay this Tuesday and next!

I know the girlboss title came with a price in most films or stories but damn. Trying to search through my brain archives for just ONE film in which the boss lady didn't have to sacrifice anything for being just that, the only one I can think of is Vanessa Branch in Suburban Girl, possibly, but she's hardly even in it. Also most other girls in the film talk behind her back. I'll definitely be more observant when it comes to the girlboss lady character from now on. Thanks for the video!

Great job. I haven’t seen these on YouTube, so I’m glad you posted them for your Patrons. Thank you!

Both links in the post seem to be to the first video - second is on the Financial Diet channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7R6uEO8H8So

Well done! :)

Finally a video essay that use examples from black media and it’s not about being black. Thank you.

Regarding Peggy's apparent failure to bring up other women: She does encourage Megan throughout her brief stint as a copywriter, and she does actively try to help Joan a) when she is made the subject of a sexually harassing cartoon and b) when she begins moving into account management.

Youtube recommended these to me yesterday! Really enjoyed the first two episodes
