AMA Stream #62a [better audio]

There's an annoying electrical interference noise that appears on any audio I record in this room, but it was particularly bad on today's stream and especially noticeable to me on my phone speakers. I've reuploaded the stream here after de-noising the audio somewhat. I'll see what I can do to improve this before the next stream.

This makes me think of something I recently realized. There really is no such thing as "good" music.....its always is about what is right-in-the-moment.......and the "twink" idea expressed also in Twilight......."she wants twinks"........all this shit is deeply meaningful all the sudden. I am a twink and my idea that my true idea of living the heterosexual life DOES mean I gotta become a woman. I gotta shave and clean my room and play the piano better.

2025-05-30 06:22:03 +0000 UTChey I just want to say I watched Envy after focussing on my Contrapoints substitutes Brigitte Empire, Conrad and Hoots, Shaun, and Cody and my mind was blown. I actually doubted my sheer conviction that Contrapoints is some kind of David Lynch-style superhuman filmmaker, but when she put on her Nietzche outfit.....yeah.....she IS all that. And then I decided to watch The Hunger and for the first time, it didn't seem like a joke. I know that listening to the words of Jackie, Justine, and Virginia, its all DEAD SERIOUS and we only laugh because it makes us uncomfortable. What Jackie and Virginia are saying IS what the right wing is saying. And furthermore the Lucy character and her interaction with Justine is so similar to what Tim Leary says in particular the books Game of Life and What does Woman Want, which I was not familiar with before, the last time I watched The Hunger, as far as presenting not only the disadvantages but the advantages of drugs. Leary paints the world as an 8fold ladder where 1234 is the "hive mind" or "larval stage" the first two being Freud's oral infant and 2 being gladiatior/playground......but circuit 5 being ECSTASTY undreamt of even by 3the intellect and 4the cult/social-sexual

I finally figured out why Shaun is the only great straight youtuber and how the voice of a straight man in usually annoying and that led to me realizing that heterosexuality is a form of transness if you wanna fuck 24 hours a day and become a woman while fucking.

Any time someone has needs that are persistently unmet, or persistently under threat of being unmet, and what that does to people. Seems like a running thread through a lot of what's happening in this time of precarity. Money is uncertain, healthcare is uncertain, numerous social currents feel uncertain. There are definitely people trying to push the idea that our safety was uncertain to the point that now it is. I always think of someone who hasn't eaten since breakfast being hungry versus someone who hasn't eaten in a week, and how the two might respond to the prospect of getting food. Both have the same kind of need but one will probably behave a lot less rationally and acceptably to get it. I think of folks like incels and "nice guys" who are desperate for companionship and what that drives them to do and think and how they lose touch with reality. They get further and further from viable ways to satisfy the need as the need grows. I think of how Q folks are often financially precarious, voting against their best interests. They steep themselves in fear, and it makes them crazier and crazier. How desperation often compromises ones ability to reason or seek out productive solutions, to reach for oversimplified answers, strongmen, and scapegoats, while more secure people are more capable of thinking about rational, nuanced, evidence-based solutions. And while we usually think of those in power as trying to prevent panic, there seems to be a trend of them inflaming panic and desperation instead, taking advantage of that compromised state of mind to further their own ends. Not a brand new topic perhaps but maybe an interesting angle on many of the topics you cover. I've never really seen desperation itself addressed as something to focus on. Love your vids! ilyyyyy!

2025-04-29 03:53:23 +0000 UTCOh my god... the part about Conspiracy's music being inspired by eastern orthodox chants is making me lose my MIND. my dad is eastern orthodox priest, so I've literally been growing up with various gregorian chants and also I'm about 82% sure I know exactly what arameic father's prayer video you're talking about. my relationship to faith and orthodoxy is complicated to say the least and listening to the music makes me feel extremely complex emotions every time. the kicker is that I've been OBSESSED with Conspiracy's soundtrack, especially the intro, ever since it came out. it hits incredibly close to home, to the point that I'm probably responsible for like half of all streams on spotify, lol. I've even secretly toyed with the idea of asking you and the music creator, if I could perhaps use it as a backdrop to my animation reel, because it's that close to my heart... that's more like a daydream that's never coming true, but anyway, thanks for elucidating that one. love you all the more for this

It is the traditional māori equivalent of justice (kinda) or community approved revenge (also kinda), which hinges on the ethic of reciprocity. If you harm someone, you are responsible and have to make it right. Premodern Māori societies were tribal communities that frequently had very violent clashes so it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but current anticolonial movements and philosophies in Aotearoa (NZ) are applying the principle of the ethic of reciprocity in rethinking, and hopefully reforming our justice system :)!
