Bonanas For Bonanza Episode #27: “The Last Trophy”

Dalton, Mutt and Amy have all watched the same episode this time and it’s a good one! Gunfire! amazing stunts! Seamlessly integrated nature documentary footage! Plus the whole thing is a metaphor for fuckin! Also, Dalton introduces a new regular feature and Amy gets very frank, but in a Christian way, about sex.

Bonanas For Bonanza Episode #27: “The Last Trophy”

Comments

Two examples of the amazingly quick wit of Dudley Doodley on display in this episode:1) The Brad Pitt wig discussion. Maria throws the image of her husband bursting from a closet in a Brad Pit wig in out of NOWHERE and the guys are delightfully knocked on their heels IN CHARACTER. "What movie? We have to know!' and when she serves it right back to them with "Whichever role floats your boat!" he is so fucking fast, you could not slide a cigarette paper between the end of her response and Dalton growling, "World War Zeeee..." which, WHAT?!?!? and 2) at around 38:00 when the discussion turns towards the dangers of splinters when using wooden dildos, and Amy proclaims her willingness to sacrifice for family and "take one for the team", Dalton, again without so much as a split-second gap cheers, "Here here! There is no 'I' in 'Family'" and moves on! leaving Mutt dissolved in a pool of laughter in his wake. Also, "Western Talk Frankly"? Fucking guy is amazing.

After Mutt said he put a "loudener" on his pistol, in my mind I IMMEDIATELY heard Shunt McGuppin talk about a drummer he knew who got a fart loudener sewn into his pants after he got butt cancer. Thanks Superego!

Howdy! Mr. K. Dilkington (from the old Twitter) here. If you only listen to one episode of this podcast, I think this should be the one. It is so goddamn good it could be considered fucking ASMR. With no guest, you're left with the intimacy of an improv session by three of the most warm, sensitive, affectionate comedians who also happen to be the most talented and quickest wits in the business. Add the fact that they seem clearly DELIGHTED to be with each other, never talk over each other or step over each others concepts, and sincerely seem to crack each other up, AND DO THE ENTIRE THING IN CHARACTER and you have an episode that I know I'm going to listen to dozens of times.
