Time for another progress update! Let's go through some of the things we got done this month.
The poll before one the last one one of the top options was the following:
Jun's status app - Have an app on pc that allows you to see more information/statistics etc. about Jun and perhaps change some parameters about her. This would work quite well with the "Personality Modules" option as that'd be put there.
It didn't make it into the last update, but I've decided to add it to this one. I was thinking of what would be the best way to do this and came up with making it a terminal where you can connect to her internals. It was actually quite a lot of fun coding it. Working on "console apps" like that reminded me a bit of things I made when I started learning how to program years ago.
Anyway, here's a couple of teasers of what you can find there!




Don't worry there is a "help" command, so you shouldn't get lost!
As with every update I've done a bunch of optimization. If you aren't interested in technical details tldr is less lag when entering the room and faster loading.
First thing
In the previous update all the save data was stored in a single file. Why is that a problem? With the game growing, so did the data that needs to be stored. I've seen saves as big as 10MB simply because of all the slots and items in those slots. This doesn't sound like that much, but game will have to write all this data to your storage every time any of the save slots changes for example when the game automatically does an autosave. This is a cause of the lag you can sometimes experience when entering the room.
I've fixed it by splitting the stored save file into multiple files for every slot. Now the game only has to save what changed and everything works way faster! If you export the save from the main menu the save will still be a single file.
Second thing
If you launched the game recently you've probably seen the text "Preparing Moddable Table" during loading that sometimes takes a bit too long. I've optimized the loading to do some independent things in parallel. The "Moddable Table" is for example only used as the name suggests by mods. While unity is doing the processing related to that the game can load a bunch of other things. I've written some code where each module that needs to be loaded defines what it depends on and the game automatically handles loading all of those in paralel.
I've also done a bunch of Quality of Life and UI changes. Here's some of them:

You can now load and save the game from the room view!

Work UI got fleshed out a bit!

Items got new icons to easily differentiate what's what.
You can also now favourite items by clicking the "heart" icon and they will appear in a separate folder!
The UI of the cooking minigame got fleshed out a bunch. It's still missing a background, but it's already really fun to play!
Here's a short message from the writer about some of the story he's written.
New story-line about the secret organization is finished. Choices matter on this one so be careful which path you choose!
A few events about Jun taking you on dates are already prepared! She's not very successful at first, but with your help you both are going to have good time!

Last month, I said there's about 2 months left. This month's progress was on track, but I've also expanded the scope a bit, so I'd say my current estimate is in around 1.5 months.
