A bit of style study/face practice
Added 2024-09-18 19:03:00 +0000 UTCWhen working on faces, I decided to draw off of some varied styles to get more diversity. The image on the right I really liked, and think I may do more style studies going forwards, integrating aspects from various images and solidifying a more unified style. So far, I really like how it is very heavily anime references, but there are realism aspects that give the face more dimension (shading of the nose, overlapping with side of face, nose ridgeline separating the eye) It makes mapping out the face and placing the features make a lot more sense in my head, and I think I like the slightly more realistic look compared to more hardcore anime style like sailor moon, where its much easier to see the face as flat.
