NYCC Wrap up!

The weekend was LONG, I only went to NYCC for 1.5 days, and I'm SPENT. Tami and I got a lot of merch and books to read; I got to meet my editors for The Dog Knight and Northranger and even met Melissa Capriliogne, the colorist for The Dog Knight. It was so inspiring to see all the tabling artists thriving; I feel so motivated.

The Harvey Awards were fantastic; I found the socialite inside and met with many folks in the industry, including comic veterans like Walt Simonson. Victoria Ying won with her graphic novel Hungry Ghost, which was much deserved. Rey and I were up against some amazing creators, and it was simply an honor to be nominated alongside them.

Maybe we'll get a reward for Jamie when it's finally published, or another collaboration will get us to that point. Either way, I was super thankful that my publisher could fly me out and take care of me and Tami for our time there.

The only downside was Saturday gave me soggy socks because it rained, and I brought only Converse LOL

Thanks to those of you who stopped by and said hi at the booth, you really brightened my day. I hope that I can do more events at conventions in the future and get more opportunities to meet you all!
